After Renovation Cleaning

After-renovation cleaning is for a home that is being lived in while one part of it is rebuilt: an extension, a kitchen, or a bathroom. The dust does not stay in the room where the work happened. We cover England, Scotland, and Wales. Send photos and a postcode on the form or WhatsApp.

When to book

When this visit is the right one

Book it when the fitters have finished cutting and the room can be closed off. If you are still cooking in the same kitchen, tell us, because protection and the order of work change.

Extension handover

New openings pull dust into the original rooms. We clean the new space and the route the dust travelled.

Kitchen or bathroom refit

Compound, silicone smears, and tile grit, plus the hallway that was used as a cutting area.

One room only

Possible when doors were sealed and the rest of the house is genuinely clean. We will say if the landing shows that it was not.

Included, and what we will not do

What the visit covers

Included

  • The renovated rooms and the obvious dust path
  • Protection moved back once surfaces are wiped
  • Frames, sills, and floors in those rooms
  • Sanitaryware or worktops left by the fitter

Not this visit

  • We do not rebuild, reseal a shower, or refit a kitchen
  • Belongings left in the dust need you to clear a path, or the quote includes time to work around them
  • This is not an end-of-tenancy clean for a house with no building work

How the work is done

Method

We isolate the finished rooms, vacuum with a fine filter, then damp-wipe. Floors in the rest of the house are checked at the doorway. If the landing is white, that is in the job, not a surprise extra at the end.

What you are looking at

A clean new kitchen and a white film on the living-room skirting is the usual pattern. So is grit in the bath after wall tiles were cut in the hall.

What changes the quote

Cost

Price follows how many rooms the dust reached, not only the room on the invoice from the builder. An extension that was opened into a hallway costs more than a sealed bathroom swap. Photos of the doorway and the landing are enough to quote.

After the visit

Aftercare, DIY, and what makes the dust return

Aftercare

Keep the new room shut while any last silicone cures, and do not dry-sweep it. If a fitter returns to adjust a door, that frame will need a wipe.

DIY or book it

You can keep on top of a sealed one-room job with a fine-filter vacuum each evening. Once dust is in soft furnishings and the original hallway, a rented carpet cleaner does not fix the plaster dust on the woodwork.

What fails again

The clean holds if the building work is actually finished. A second day of sanding puts the same dust back. Tell us if the builder is booked to return.

Questions about After Renovation Cleaning

Send the postcode and a few photos. We quote from the rooms and the dust. Use the form or WhatsApp.

Do you clean the whole house after one room was renovated?

We clean the renovated rooms and wherever the dust travelled. If doors were shut and the rest is clean, we do not pad the quote with untouched bedrooms.

Can you work around furniture?

Yes, if there is a path. Floor space buried under bags and tools is slower, and the quote says so.

Is this the same as a builders clean?

Same skills, smaller and often occupied. A full empty-plot builders clean is the other service.

What if the builder is coming back?

We can do a holding clean, but the final result waits until they stop making dust. Otherwise you pay twice.
