Tile and grout haze
Cement haze on new tiles. Acid products are only used where the tile can take them. Natural stone is a different product.

Surfaces
Floor deep cleaning after building work lifts plaster film, grout haze, screed dust, and the sticky residue under protective sheets. It is not a sand-and-seal, and it is not a carpet shampoo sold as a builders clean. We cover England, Scotland, and Wales. Send photos and a postcode on the form or WhatsApp.

Book floors after the walls and frames are dust-free, or the floor gets dirty again while it dries. New timber and LVT need the maker’s care sheet if you have it.

Fine and endless until it is vacuumed properly. Flooding a fresh screed is a mistake.
Adhesive and film from the temporary covering. Too much water pushes into the joints.
Included, and what we will not do
How the work is done
Vacuum the grit out before any liquid. Grit plus water is what scratches a new floor. Then a controlled wash, edges done by hand, and a dry pass so you are not walking a tide mark.
A cloudy cast on new porcelain, sticky prints where the protective sheet was, and a white powder that returns in the grout lines.
What changes the quote
Hard floors in an empty house are quicker than the same metres with furniture and a film of adhesive. Stone that cannot take the usual haze remover takes longer because the product changes. Tell us the floor type in the form.
After the visit
Stay off the floor until it is dry, especially timber and laminate. Do not put rugs down on a damp wash. A neutral cleaner later is enough. Skip bleach on new grout.
You can wash a small tiled room if the grit has already been vacuumed and you know the tile is ceramic or porcelain. Guessing with an acid cleaner on limestone marks it. That is when to stop.
Haze that was not removed shows up again when the floor is wet. If it returns only as loose dust, the walls above were not finished.
Send the postcode and a few photos. We quote from the rooms and the dust. Use the form or WhatsApp.
On tiles that can take the remover, yes. On limestone, marble, and some “stone-effect” floors we use a different approach or we leave it and say so.
We can lift the worst of it, but it will not last. Floors are the last step.
No. Sealing is a separate trade. We will not apply a sealer as part of a clean.
Loose dust can be vacuumed. A plaster-filled carpet often needs extraction, which we quote on its own if you want it.
Tell us the rooms, what the trades have just finished, and when you need the site. Photos help.
