Kitchen & Bathroom Detailing

Kitchen and bathroom detailing takes compound, cement, stickers, and silicone smears off new sanitaryware, taps, worktops, and splashbacks. It is the wet rooms after a fit-out, not a whole-house builders clean. We cover England, Scotland, and Wales. Send photos and a postcode on the form or WhatsApp.

When to book

When this visit is the right one

Book it when the fitter has finished and silicone has skinned, so we are not wiping a joint that is still moving. If the rest of the house is also white with plaster, book the builders clean and include these rooms in it.

New bathroom

Cement on trays, film on screens, stickers on baths and pans.

New kitchen

Protective film on appliances, silicone on worktops, dust inside empty units.

After tiling only

Grout haze and adhesive on the face of tiles and on the taps.

Included, and what we will not do

What the visit covers

Included

  • Sanitaryware, taps, and screens cleaned without abrasive pads on acrylic
  • Inside empty cupboards and drawers
  • Worktops and splashbacks
  • Floors in those rooms once the grit is vacuumed

Not this visit

  • We do not reseal a shower, replace silicone, or plumb
  • We do not use scourers on acrylic baths or composite sinks
  • Heavy limescale inside an old boiler system is not a builders’ residue
  • Appliances are wiped. A full service or the inside of an oven is only included if the quote says so

How the work is done

Method

Lift grit first so it is not rubbed into the bath. Then product matched to acrylic, chrome, or stone. Silicone smears are softened. Stickers are warmed and peeled, not scraped across a tray.

What you are looking at

A grey cast in a new tray, stickers on the bath, and white adhesive in the corner of a tap.

What changes the quote

Cost

One new bathroom is a half-day detail. A kitchen plus two bathrooms, with film on every appliance, is priced on the number of units and how much adhesive is on the tiles. Photos of the bath and the worktop are the useful ones.

After the visit

Aftercare, DIY, and what makes the dust return

Aftercare

Let new silicone cure for the time the fitter gave you before you soak the joint. After that, a non-scratch cleaner is enough. Do not use a cream cleaner with grit on a new acrylic bath.

DIY or book it

Stickers and light dust are DIY. Cement haze on a tray and silicone on a screen are where people scratch the finish. If the mark does not move with a cloth, stop.

What fails again

A detailed bathroom stays clean until it is used. Water spots after that are ordinary use, not a failed builders clean. Adhesive that returns when the shower is first used was under the screen film and should have been in the visit. Tell us if you see it the same day.

Questions about Kitchen & Bathroom Detailing

Send the postcode and a few photos. We quote from the rooms and the dust. Use the form or WhatsApp.

Will you scratch the new bath?

Not with a pad. Acrylic and composite are cleaned with non-abrasive products. If a mark will not move that way, we leave it and show you.

Do you clean inside the oven?

Only when the quote includes it. The standard detail is the outside, the film, and the cupboard it sits in.

Can this replace a builders clean?

No. If the bedrooms are full of plaster dust, you need the builders clean. These rooms can be part of that visit.

What about grout haze on the tiles?

On ceramic and porcelain, yes. On natural stone we change the product or we do not use an acid remover.
